Marquez Valdes-Scantling To Get Key To Hometown St. Petersburg

ST. PETERSBURG, FL -- A Super Bowl winner and a state championship coach will each get the Key to the City in St. Petersburg this Thursday afternoon.

Mayor Ken Welch and the City Council will honor Lakewood High graduate Marquez Valdes-Scantling, who won the last two Super Bowls with the Kansas City Chiefs. He's currently a free agent.

Also getting a key is Larry Murphy, the longtime Gibbs High School basketball coach who led his boys' team to their first state title in more than half a century.

The meeting starts at 1:30 p.m.
