Florida Firefighters Head for Oregon

State Forest Service Director Jim Karels says the rainy season has smothered most of the wildfires in Florida and he can spare the people... so it's payback time for the Sunshine State.

"We've got significant rain and most all of Florida is pretty wet, so it gives us the ability to, versus bringing people in like we were doing in March, April, May and parts of June ... now we're being able to provide people out to other states to help them," he said.

Roughly one hundred firefighters from Florida are now helping out in Oregon, Washington, Montana, Idaho and California.
