President Joe Biden is once again reading teleprompter instructions--out loud. Yesterday, Biden was speaking at the annual conference for North America's Building Trades Union, where he received an endorsement from the organization for his re-election bid. However, during his speech, he slipped up and read the word "pause" after asking the crowd to imagine what four more years could bring. Back in 2022, the president was responding to the Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe V. Wade when he said "end of quote, repeat the line."

A new survey by the Chamber of Commerce shows more than 71-percent of U.S. adults now rely solely on wireless phones, with landlines becoming a thing of the past. New York state leads the country in percentage of landline phones with over 52 percent of New Yorkers saying they still own a fixed line phone. Florida is well down the list, with just 33-percent of the state's adults still owning a landline.

Taylor Swift's new album is prompting a resurgence in an old fashioned piece of equipment, the typewriter, which gets a mention on Taylor's new album, The Tortured Poets Department. Those who repair the machines are loving the attention. Todd Payne runs Lazy Dog Typewriters in McKinney, Texas. He says, since the song came out, he's getting a steady stream of calls. Most are people who inherited their grandparent's typewriter and want it fixed up so they can use it. And, yes, he says the ribbon is still available.

A Beatles guitar missing for over five decades has been discovered in somebody's attic. Julien's Auctions says the 12-string Hootenanny acoustic guitar is the same one John Lennon played on classics like "Norwegian Wood," and he can be seen playing the guitar in the movie "Help!" Julien's says in a press release that the guitar disappeared in the late 1960s and was recently discovered in an attic in the rural British countryside. It will be going up for auction next month in New York City. It's expected to fetch over 800-thousand dollars, and could set a new record for the highest-selling Beatles guitar.

A former rap star star may be running for Congress in South Florida. Luther Campbell was known in the late 80s and early 90s as the lead rapper for Miami-based 2 Live Crew, which became the first act to have their album ruled legally obscene, prompting this hit. Campbell, who's now 63, filed paperwork Tuesday with the Federal Election Commission to establish the Luther Luke Campbell for Congress campaign. If he can qualify by tomorrow's deadline, he he will run in the August 20th Democratic primary against incumbent Sheila Cherfilus [[SHER-fill-us]]-McCormick.
