  • Question:President Trump is planning to sign an Executive Order that would end the right to citizenship for babies of non-citizens on unauthorized immigrants born on U.S. soil. The birth right citizenship issue is protected in the 14thAmendment. The President says he has spoken to his counsel who stated he can do that through an Executive Order rather than through an Act of Congress. Do you see it being wise to do it through Executive Order or do you think it would be safer to do it by an Act of Congress?

What would be your advice to the President?

Answer:The bills that they think will get through before January are most likely all going to be placed on a temporary hold because of the upcoming elections. Bills do not get pushed that quickly through Congress. The better option is to try the Executive Order.

  • Question:More trouble for Elon Musk’s Tesla company. In Florida, a Model S owner says that the auto pilot feature failed causing him to slam into a disabled car on the Florida Turnpike. Breaking his neck, along with several other serious injuries. He is saying that he was driving the auto pilot feature and he didn’t trust it. He drove more than 96 thousand miles on his Tesla Model S before he used the auto pilot feature and when he did, he had this horrific accident. Do you see that this is going to be one more nail on the coffin since Tesla has had repeated problems, but also the auto pilot feature in general?

Answer:In this situation, he is going to have to prove that he didn’t just crash into the vehicle and he will have to prove that the auto pilot was on when the accident occurred.

Question:If he does prove that, do you see it being a case where he could really hurt Tesla’s stock?

Answer:I don’t believe one person can affect a stock. I think people are just looking for that click bate moment.
