Deputies: Boy, Missing for Two Years, Found

Deputies in Orange County say a five-year-old boy, who had been reported as missing for two years, was found Tuesday in central Florida.

According to incident accounts, the boy was found at a residence in the Conway area, and was reported to be in good health.

Officials say the boy's biological mother, who is accused of kidnapping him from his residence in Massachusetts, was also found and was taken into custody.

Authorities say the woman, identified as Christina Hale, was booked into the Orange County Jail on a charge of kidnapping.

Investigators say they had received an anonymous tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that the boy and his mother were at the residence where the boy was found.

Deputies say they had put the home under surveillance in order to verify the tip.

Once they had confirmation, deputies say they took action.

Officials say the boy is currently in the custody of Florida child welfare officials, but will be reunited with his father in Massachusetts.
