Zuckerberg Told Congress His Data Was Swept Up By Cambridge Analytica

Facebook said that 87 million people had their data improperly shared with Cambridge Analytica. The resulting scandal saw Facebook's stock tank, and the company's CEO Mark Zucerkberg was forced to spend two days testifying in front of members of Congress. During his second day on Capitol Hill, Zuckerberg spoke with members of the House Energy and Commerce Committee and admitted that he is one of the 87 million people who had their personal information shared with the political consulting firm.

Zuckerberg faced a grilling by the House members, who peppered him with questions about the availability of opioids on the social network and whether or not the company supported government regulation of social media companies.

Despite the tough questions Zuckerberg appeared to come out on top. Facebook stock rose 4.5% on Tuesday and was up 0.78% on Wednesday.
