A new accuser is stepping forward, claiming Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore sexually assaulted her when she was a minor. Beverly Young Nelson, of Gadsden, Alabama told reporters Moore assaulted her in a car when she was 16 years old. Nelson said Moore groped her breasts and forcibly attempted to have her perform a sex act on him.
When she refused, Nelson alleges that Moore left her in a cold parking lot at night, claiming that no one would believe her if she told them what happened. Nelson says she met Moore as a waitress at Old Hickory House restaurant in 1977, where he was a regular customer. At the time of the alleged incident, Moore was the District Attorney of Etowah County.
