President Donald Trump is expected to announce an end to the Obama-era program that protects illegal immigrants who came to the U.S. as children. Multiple reports say Trump will halt that the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, known as DACA, after a six month delay. That grace period is supposed to allow time for Congress to act on the matter. Trump is expected to make his official announcement on Tuesday.
Lawmakers on both sides of the aisle have urged the President to continue the program.
